We’re a certified B Corp, which means that we have a strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility. You can learn more about our efforts by reading about our Technology for Change (T4C) Campaign at singlebrook.com/T4C.
Our team has a flexible schedule and no one usually works weekends or evenings. We believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and feel that everyone produces better quality work if they’re not overworked and burnt out.
Schedules are flexible, so we can accommodate parents who need to pick up their kids from school or childcare. Babies and kids do visit the office sometimes and we have a toy area and a nursing area.
We host free monthly Open Source hackathons and presentations by programmers and techies in the community. We are constantly learning new technologies and techniques from each other and from other professional programmers.
We just started a program called Singlebrook Lab in which we are devoting some developer time to incubating new product ideas. Everyone participates and developers and designers collaborate to create demos based on their ideas.
We don’t outsource. Our developers and designers all work closely with each other from our studio in Ithaca, NY. We hire brilliant programmers and designers who can communicate and collaborate well with each other and with our clients. We use an Agile project management style which lends itself to an open, collaborative environment.
We welcome diversity and encourage applicants of all ages, genders, races, sexual-orientations, etc. to apply. Our current team is not as diverse as it could be and we would love to add some new perspectives and viewpoints to the team!
We have video game tournaments, plenty of free pizza and snacks, company lunches, community volunteering events and more.
Our benefits include: Simple IRA, Health Insurance, SmartPhones, Paid Volunteer Time, Free Gym Membership at Island or Free Yoga Classes, and Paid Parking/Bus Passes.
