Singlebrook Technology, a web and mobile development firm in Ithaca, NY, is seeking a full-time Application User Interface Designer to join our talented team.
The ideal candidate for this position is a passionate and wildly talented User Interface wizard who enjoys sexy form design and clean, effortlessly user-friendly web and mobile application interfaces. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential because all of our team members interact directly with clients.
We are looking for a candidate who is based in the Ithaca area or someone who is willing to relocate to Ithaca. This is not a telecommuting position.
Skills:
- User interface design for web and mobile apps
- Clean and intuitive form design
- Information design, ability to organize lots of complex information in a way that is simple, user-friendly, logical, clear and elegant
- Deep understanding of user experience and ability to analyze and test usability
- A strong aesthetic sense coupled with language and information design skills (you should have that special combination of visual and verbal skills)
- Ability to plan projects with clients and create wireframes and mockups
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- HTML, CSS, jQuery, Photoshop/Fireworks
Bonus Skills:
- Interest and skills in analytics and number-crunching and ability to apply that knowledge to improving sites and user experiences
- Mobile and iPad/tablet design, responsive design
- Game design/gameification
- Web design
