Jim Thatcher, Ph.D. Candidate at Clark University (Geography) is seeking mobile application designers and developers to be interviewed for his thesis.
My research goal is to open the “black box” of code construction by talking directly to designers and developers of mobile applications. By doing so, this research links what end-users can know with the decisions that went into the application’s development. The point is not to expose “evil” or “bad” intentions, as there are none, rather it is to help both developers and end-users understand the effects of their decisions, to help technology build a better world through conscious consideration.

During NTEN's Nonprofit Technology Conference (NTC), April 3-5 in San Francisco, Singlebrook will be launching the beta version of our mobile web product, WhatCanI.Do. WhatCanI.Do allows nonprofit organizations to build a mobile donation site in seconds!
To coincide with the beta launch, we will be doing a Live Build at NTC! The Live Build involves asking nonprofit representatives to try out the WhatCanI.Do user experience and provide their feedback, including requests for additional features. We’re taking a crowdsourced approach to developing the next phase of WhatCanI.Do, and the Live Build is a key step in this process!
The Live Build will take place throughout the conference and at booth #61 at the Science Fair. We hope to see you there!
