Frogtek is a social venture that helps micro-entrepreneurs in emerging markets improve their profits via business software that runs on mobile phones. Frogtek works with smartphones because cellular technology is already much more ubiquitous than PCs and because smartphones in particular have become much more powerful and easier to use in recent years.

Echoing Green, an organization that has provided seed funding for social entrepreneurs for the past 25 years, helped Frogtek gets its start. David Del Ser, Frogtek Founder and CEO, writes in the Frogtek blog, "through them we found our first investors and also a broad community of social entrepreneurs and supporters that has been instrumental in our growth." Echoing Green is accepting applications for its next round of Fellowships for social entrepreneurs in December.
